Efic aims to extend its vision and mission into research projects focused on enhancing the development of individuals and communities from a comprehensive perspective. To this end, it participates in innovative initiatives that explore ways to \u201ccreate spaces for growth\u201d in collaboration with other organizations and institutions. University of Seville Project<\/h2><\/div>

Within the framework of the EFIC Chair, EFIC offers the opportunity for students at the University of Seville to engage in a coaching process. The objective of these processes may include, among others, improving academic performance and\/or any other area of the student\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

According to the preliminary results from the first year of research coordinated by EFIC in collaboration with the Department of Sociology at the University of Granada, students who receive coaching (i.e., those who follow a coaching process) show a significant improvement in their academic performance, as well as in socio-emotional aspects that positively impact both their personal lives and future professional development.<\/p>\n

University of Granada Project<\/h2><\/div>

University of Granada Project<\/h2><\/div>

Since early 2015, we have been participating in a project at the University of Granada (led by Dr. Mar\u00eda del Mar M\u00e9ndez), aimed at providing coaching to students from several of its faculties. This project also includes the delivery of workshops and conferences in this field.<\/p>\n

The objectives of this Teaching Innovation Project are multiple, with particular emphasis on: bringing coaching into the university environment under the hypothesis that it enriches the community (both individuals and the university community as a whole as a result of individual growth); providing coaching to students in order to enhance their personal, academic, and educational experience; and testing and scientifically validating the initial hypothesis\u2014that integrating coaching into the student experience improves their overall quality of life, both personally and, more specifically, in their education.<\/p>\n

Several faculties of the University of Granada are currently involved in this project: the Faculty of Law, where the initiative originated under the leadership of Dr. Mar\u00eda del Mar M\u00e9ndez; the Faculty of Sociology, where a team of three researchers led by Diego Becerril are contributing their expertise to ensure that the research data is statistically significant and reliable for the scientific community; the Faculty of Building Engineering and the Faculty of Health Sciences, whose leadership and students enthusiastically joined the initiative from the outset. It is worth noting that, as the project has progressed, other faculties have expressed interest in joining this pioneering initiative.<\/p>\n

Within this project, selected EFIC students deliver coaching sessions to University of Granada students who have requested them. At the same time, research is being conducted to scientifically validate the impact of coaching in this context.<\/p>\n
